Themed with "Gute Aussichten" all illustrators, who haven´t already published a cartoonbook, can apply with at most 3 exponats as copy. The award comes with 1.000 € for the first place and the winner will be announced at 8.10. in the comic-center at the Frankfurt book Fair. Further infos under:

"new colours for a classic", int. illustrations competition Laura OrvietoAccademia Drosselmeier and publisher Sergio Giunti are looking for an illustrator via these competition for the new edition of the 1911 published book "Stories of the history of world" by Laura Orvieto. The best 10 artworks will be presented in an exhibition during the children´s bookfair in Bologna 2010. The winner will get 20.000 € for illustrating this book. Der Feuergriffel. Mannheimer Stadtschreiber für Kinder- und Jugendliteratur 2011Zum 3. Mal wird das Stadtschreiberstipendium ausgeschrieben. Gefördert wird ein dreimonatiger Aufenthalt in Mannheim von April bis Juli 2011 mit einem Preisgeld von insgesamt 6.000. Hans-Christian-Andersen-Preis und Astrid Lindgren-Gedächtnispreis 2010Jutta Bauer, one of the founders of Filu is nominated by the Arbeitskreis für Jugendliteratur for the German section of the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY) for the both prices above. The announcement of the awardees is going to be at the childrens bookfair in Bologna on the 22th of March 2010.
